Ward Security wins prestigious DRE contract

Ward Security has beaten off strong competition to secure the contract to manage the entire security provision for Deloitte Real Estate’s Asset Property Management Unit’s multi-client property portfolios in London, the South East and the Midlands. Ward Security was invited to a competitive tender, along with several security companies, including large national security firms, and following a robust and thorough tender process was appointed as the sole contractor under a single bulk award. “Awarding the entire portfolio to a single provider rather than splitting it among several security firms represents a completely different approach to how historically contracted services have been awarded”, said Darren Ebbrell, national contracts manager at Deloitte Real Estate APM. “Where appropriate to do so and as identified from the tender exercise we have been keen to instruct bulk awards to a single contractor. By doing so we can build stronger relationships, adopt a consistent approach to delivery of services, and by working more collaboratively drive improvements and innovations with the intention of delivering ‘best in class’ services that ultimately improve our clients’ experience.” The contract will see the company provide static and mobile security services across 56 locations, increasing the number of sites that Ward Security had previously managed for Deloitte Real Estate. The new contract marks the start of what operations director Samantha Pullen expects will be “significant growth” in 2013. “We are a company that prides itself on our expertise, professionalism and experience of working in partnership with similar organisations the size and nature of Deloitte Real Estate. Naturally, we are delighted that we have been awarded the security contract for the whole portfolio after a successful working relationship. “With the investment we have made in new technology and services, we believe we have the right infrastructure and management team in place to be able to achieve all of our goals for this year, including becoming a national player in the security market.”
