SIA Chief Executive Appointed

Elizabeth France CBE, Security Industry Authority Chair, today [20 February] announced the appointment of Alan Clamp as SIA Chief Executive.

Alan will take over from Bill Butler on 1 June. Alan is currently the Chief Executive of the Human Tissue Authority (HTA), where he has been responsible for implementing the strategic plan of the HTA to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of regulation, and for ensuring that the HTA is governed effectively and provides good value for money.

Alan has considerable experience in the field of regulation and has successfully managed significant organisational change in national public sector organisations.

The challenge of delivering effective regulation in a changing environment is one I know he will relish.”
