Over 100 jobs saved after Security Business is bought out of administration

Over 100 jobs at Group Response Global (GRG) Ltd based in Selby, North Yorkshire have been saved after the security services business was bought out of administration by Kingdom Security Ltd.

GRG, a provider of security services is a nationwide provider of professional security services including fully licensed security guards, event teams, CCTV & security equipment, mobile patrols and key holding. After being formed in 1997 GRG expanded into one of the largest independent security companies in Yorkshire with clients including Leeds United FC and York District Hospital. The sale of GRG from administration was secured by Charles MacMillan, partner and head of corporate recovery at Manchester-based accountants and business advisors Beever and Struthers. Charles MacMillan said: “While the demise of any business and the consequent loss of jobs is obviously disappointing I was pleased to secure the transfer of the vast majority of jobs at GRG to Kingdom Security. “This was a seamless transaction achieved through close and effective teamwork between myself, Kingdom and clients of GRG.” Terry Barton BA (Hons) Law, Managing Director of Kingdom Security, said: “We are delighted to provide continued employment and job safety to the dedicated work force of GRG and to continue our national expansion with the acquisition of GRG customers in Yorkshire. My team welcome our new customers and staff who will gain significant benefit from our extensive services, resources, innovation and management expertise. A Yorkshire UK Support Centre will be retained to support this new infrastructure.

Kingdom Security Ltd was formed in 1993 to influence and inspire the security marketplace by providing thoroughly professional and accountable security services and in recent years became a TOP 20 UK security supplier and a member of Pacesetters (top 15% of ACS audited companies).
