The ACS Pacesetters Security Officer of Distinction Awards 2021 took place on-line on Wednesday, 16th June, and 12 front-line Security Officers received one of these prestigious awards. All the individuals who were nominated, 89 in total, are to be congratulated on their exceptional work during a difficult year when their roles and responsibilities often changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We congratulate all the winners who went ‘above and beyond’ in their duties and, in many instances, risked injury to themselves to prevent harm to others.
Mike Hurst, Director of IFPO (UK) kindly offered all of those nominated free membership of IFPO for a year and 2 years to the 12 winners. The Security Officer who received the most votes was awarded a Certified Protection Officer Training Course and this went to Majid Khan of The Westgrove Group.
We also presented an award in memory of Matthew Blythe who was employed by MPD FM Limited and sadly passed away just 3 days after contracting COVID-19. This award was made in memory of Matthew and all the other Security Officers who sadly passed away after contracting COVID-19.
We greatly appreciate Michelle Russell, acting Chief Executive of the Security Industry Authority, taking the time to join us as our Guest Speaker and adding her support to the outstanding work completed during the past year by our members’ staff.
