Headquartered in Harlow in Essex, Land Sheriffs is an established company with an enviable record. It holds contracts to safeguard track and property for Network Rail, High Speed 1, London and Continental Railways and more.
The company was formed more than twenty seven years ago when MD, Steve LeMay had to face the reality of an illegal traveller encampment behind his own home. In the absence of effective support from local council or police, Steve was prompted to clear the land and move the encampment on. What was special was that Steve saw a business opportunity for himself in doing this. He went on to offer local councils a legal but no nonsense approach to protecting landowners’ property.
Ten years ago Tyler, Steve’s son joined the firm and together they have developed it into the company it is today. They both trained and built the teams that are the strength of Land Sheriffs. Good results from early contracts to help London and Continental Railways protect its infrastructure led to contract renewals via personal recommendations to Network Rail (CTRL). Land Sheriffs now protects Network Rail and other assets from trespass, theft and other anti-social activities. Land Sheriffs today is a trusted company with skilled teams of trained security professionals with expertise in providing complex security solutions.
