Enigma CCTV Ltd (a subsidiary of Enigma Security Solutions Ltd) is proud to announce that it has completed its takeover of the Remploy CCTV Business.
Following the announcement that the Government subsidy for Remploy’s Enterprise Businesses would be withdrawn by September 2013, the Remploy CCTV business was put up for sale earlier this year.
The business attracted several bids and each bid was assessed against various criteria including ensuring the continued employment of disabled people, sustainability of the business and value for money.
The CCTV business consists of sixteen sites stretching across the length and breadth of the UK from Inverness in Scotland to Truro in Cornwall. The Operators work for various local authorities, including local government and police forces.
As part of Enigma’s takeover of these sites, it has also transferred over 90 employees including our new General Manager, Richard Williams, as well as our new Operations Support Manager, Alan Prosser. Enigma would like to formally welcome each and every employee that has transferred over to us and wish them well for their future career with Enigma.
Speaking about the transfer, new General Manager, Richard Williams, said: “I am pleased that we are now part of a fantastic organisation that values its people and customers, and is also one of the most highly accredited in the security sector. The benefit of us joining Enigma is that the resources available and the systems in place, along with the drive to raise standards in the industry, mean that we will get even better at what we do.”

Enigma is aiming to consolidate and expand its newly acquired CCTV business and is committed to continuing Remploy’s ethos of providing employment opportunities for people with disabilities. As such, it is currently engaging with Disability Rights UK, Remploy Employment Services, The Shaw Trust and regional disability charities as well as local Disability Employment Advisors at Jobcentre Plus.
