ACS Pacesetters raise £1410 for Hounds for Heroes

The ACS Pacesetters inaugural Achievement Awards lunch was held at Royal Windsor Racecourse on Wednesday, 4th June, where those in attendance received an engraved plaque commemorating their achievement during 2013-2014. These included Advance Security, Axis Security, Contract Security (United Kingdom) Limited, Corps Security, Danhouse Security, Equinox Security Management, First Response Group, GBM Support Services, Hard Hat Logistics, Incentive Lynx Security, Interr Security, Kingdom Security, Oakpark Security Management, Octavian Security, Shield Security Services, Sodexo, Specialist Security Company, The Keyholding Company, The Shield Group, TSS Security UK, Ward Security and Wilson James.

The event was kindly sponsored by Cobia, Eurotech Monitoring, SSAIB, Sutton Specialist Risks and The Security Watchdog (part of Capita Plc), Interr Security and Wilson James.

The ceremony also launched the new ‘Security Officer of Distinction Award’ and we were delighted that Mr. Bill Butler, CEO of the SIA, agreed to present the individual awards to 10 very worthy Security Officers. Each Officer was nominated by their client company, this was endorsed by their employer and the final selection was made by the sponsors of the ACS Achievement Awards.

At the conclusion of the awards a charity raffle took place with all the proceeds going to Hounds for Heroes and over £1400 was raised on the day for this very worthwhile cause. Generous prizes were donated by Hindhead Golf Club, Royal Windsor Racecourse, Sodexo and FM Contract Watch. This was followed by a very moving speech from Allen Parton, the Gulf War Veteran, whose long held dream and partnership with his Labrador, Endal, formed the basis for the foundation of ‘ “Hounds for Heroes”:http://houndsforheroes.com/ ’.
